After a long time I could finally find some time to release a new version of Dynamic Widgets. Just a few things have been added to it. Not much this time. Below the changelog:
- Added Japanese language file (locale: ja) – Arigato chacomv!
- Added security preventing calling scripts creatively
- Added detection of QTranslate-X

I just installed and activated Dynamic Widgets. Looking at the back end, I don’t see any changes in the list of available widgets under Appearance > Widgets – Dynamic Widgets does not appear as a choice. Am I missing something basic needed to start using this plugin?
Note: dailybloggerel.com/ is just a simple practice site!

Dynamic Widgets is currently unavailable. It’s taken down by the WordPress Admins. I’m working with them to have it back online.

Hello
I have an issue where I need to rebuild the website. Is there a way to backup the dynamic widget data so that I can import/reinstall this when I have rebuilt the site?

Dynamic Widget settings are saved to the separate table [prefix]_dynamic_widgets
However, DW uses the widget ID as it’s reference point. Because of the dynamic nature of widgets placed in a sidebar, the widget ID might change when you’re rebuilding the site. There is nothing I can do about that.

Hey! Think youre plugin is great, but the issue with qtranslate is really uuhh. Would be great to install an old version of your plugin, in which qtranslate is still supported, cause my client needs his site right now. On long term we are searching for an alternative, but now we need to go online again…

Any chance of including a server time offset adjustment in the next update? I need to make sure the widgets change according to my local time zone. Right now the widgets switch based on some other timezone which isn’t the best . The plugin works well though and I’m very pleased to have found it.
Cheers

Hello Jon.
Dynamic Widgets uses the timezone set in WordPress. See Settings > General.
